Michigan swingman Tim Hardaway Jr. today was named the Big Ten player of the week. Here is more from the Detroit Free Press:
He scored 21 points on 87.5% shooting in an 83-75 win at No. 9 Minnesota on Thursday. It was Michigan’s first road win over a top-10 team since 1996.
Hardaway shot 4-for-5 from three-point range and added five rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks.
This is the third time Hardaway has been Big Ten player of the week, and the second time this season.
Nebraska swingman Shavon Shields is the league’s freshman of the week.
