We all know that sudden trades for NBA players is never good news. Especially when you’ve been with a team for so long building strong relationships with those around you and the fans you love. Some of this is true for Rudy Gay, but the adjustment to Toronto came a lot sooner than many had expected. In a recent interview with Commercial Appeal, Rudy Gay discussed his feelings about Memphis and the new Toronto team.
Q.: How have you been received by fans in Toronto?
A.: It’s been great. The fans really come out. As of right now this has been a blessing in disguise for me. I want to build something here. With DeMar (DeRozan) and Kyle and Andrea (Bargnani) the sky is the limit.
