Murray State University basketball player Zay Jackson accepted a plea deal today to charges of assault and wanton endangerment.Jackson was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment after a Sept. 10 incident in the parking lot of Murray’s Walmart, where he hit Jason Clement with his car after an argument. Jackson was in McCracken County to enter his plea in front of special Judge Craig Clymer. He was sentenced to five years on both counts, to run concurrently.The deal stipulates Jackson will serve 60 days. With credit for 11 days serves, he will start serving the remaining 49 today, Afterward, he will be on supervised probation for three years.
