Kawhi Leonard has begged off the minicamp conducted for Team USA. These players in the minicamp would be considered for the senior men’s team to represent the United States.

Three new players were chosen to be included. One of them is Marcus Smart, one of the leaders of the US U19 team that handily won the gold medal. Smart is considered as a top pick in next year’s NBA Draft.

The Pacers’ George Hill, the Bobcats’ Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Oklahoma State guardMarcus Smart will train with the Americans next week in Las Vegas. The roster of young players now totals 29.
