Florida’s Billy Donovan keeping a close eye on Julius Randle

With Julius Randle having been out since November after three months his first game back to the hardwood will be today. Florida’s head coach Billy Donovan didn’t waste anytime and was present in wednesday’s practice.

Accoding to Jason Jordan of USA today:

Florida coach Billy Donovan was at Prestonwood watching Randle on Wednesday and Kyles said Donovan couldn’t contain his excitement with what he was seeing from Randle, who is considering the Gators along with Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, N.C. State and Texas.

“Coach Donovan said he was in there trying to tear the rim off,” Kyles said. “He was excited. I know he’s just happy to be back on the court. I’m proud of him because he didn’t rush it. He probably could’ve come back before now, but he was really mature and waited for the doctor’s OK.”

If you haven’t seen Julius play, now’s your chance:

Rooting for Julius Randle to run with the Wolfpack!! He definitely liked NC State better than Florida or Kentucky. Texas is too unstable right now, NC State beats Oklahoma because of great facilities and a program on the rise. Now if we can just convince him NC State is a better fit than Kansas…
