The Miami Heat lost for the seventh time in 11 games on Saturday night and this fact isn’t sitting well with team leaders LeBron James and Chris Bosh. LeBron James played through back soreness, only to twist his ankle, and Anthony Davis loaded 30 points, 11 rebounds and three steals — giving him a franchise record three straight 30-point, 10-rebound games as the Pelicans pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 105-95 victory. It’s no question that the Miami Heat are a mess right now and the players made that pretty clear Saturday night.
This was the night, the night that either reawakens . . . or fractures beyond repair. “We suck,” Miami Heat center Chris Bosh said after Saturday night’s 105-95 loss to theNew Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Arena. “We need to turn it around. “There’s no passion. There’s nothing.” But there is an angry team leader. “We all need to get on the same page and figure it out,” forward LeBron James said, as the Heat lost for the seventh time in 11 games. “I don’t know what we’re going to do, but we have to figure this out. “There’s too many excuses. Everything is an excuse. Something goes wrong? An excuse. Lineup change? An excuse. Turn the ball over? An excuse. “We need to own what we’re doing right now, and what we’re doing right now isn’t good enough.” James showered, dressed, packed up, and exited the locker room faster than after any game this season.
