The Bucks off season moves are starting to come together. After trading JJ Redick for peanuts, and watching helplessly as Monta Ellis refused their offer, the Bucks actual target was OJ Mayo. Mayo is a more dynamic scorer than either of the two, and paired with Brandon Jennings, (whom the Bucks will actually retain) can form an explosive backcourt. Details of the offer are still undisclosed.

per Yahoo Sports:

Free agent guard O.J. Mayo is closing in on a multiyear contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The deal could be completed as soon as today, league sources said.

Mayo, 25, would be a replacement for the loss of guard J.J. Redick and the expected departure ofMonta Ellis.

Mayo averaged 15.3 points and 4.4 assists for the Dallas Mavericks last season.
