When Tyreke Evans first heard about playing in the Team Philly versus Melo exhibition game he had this to say:
“I think I’m going to play in that, why not? There’s nothing else to do,”
- Evans
Tyreke Evans participated in the internet-hyped Philadelphia versus Melo League with a stacked roster of the following names: LeBron James, Donte Greene, Chris Paul, Lou Williams, Carmelo Anthony and Hakim Warrick among others. Even though LeBron James stole the show, it seemed that the 6’5 guards spectacular handle had every defender that challenged him, swaying left and right. This game was really a LeBron and Evans game if you saw both of their performances. Evans is arguably one of the smoothest guards in the NBA and its amazing to watch Tyreke play at such a smooth speed in a high-paced game. Evans represented Team Philly in this exhibition which was fitting of course because Philly is his hometown. This game concluded favoring Team Philly who succeeded the Melo League. Below is a short re-cap of Evans’ performance in Philadelphia. Would you say Evans is the smoothest guard in the NBA?
“Tyreke has a physique for viewing the entirety of the court and finding his teammates. Not many players at guard boast 6’6″ height, enabling superior court vision and considerable agility alongside it. Evans could become a dominating floor general…”
