Here is a player that we haven’t seen too much from this summer. Well, at least not on The Mars Reel. Jeff Teague is currently the Atlanta Hawks rising star and since last season has been gradually carving out a nice future for himself in the NBA. The NBA lockout according to Bleacher Report, is a great opportunity for Atlanta Hawks fans to become accustomed to Jeff Teague and embrace him. Many fans are saying that Jeff will be the future of the Atlanta Hawks franchise and some are still apprehensive about his game. After reading an article online a comment read this:
His highlights package is a couple of fast breaks, but mainly floaters…What happens when those floaters aren’t falling?…

These are Teague’s strengths wouldnt you say, and Teague brings defensive and offensive productivity to the floor. A good example is his recent performance versus John Wall at the Knox Indy Pro AM exhibition game versus the George Goodman League of Washington, DC. Jeff and Wall had a go at it on the floor, and Teague gave Wall a hard time even though the George Goodman League came out on top. If that win counts. Teague has noticeably improved his handle this summer and maybe the lockout has given him additional time to emphasize and polish his areas of need. Hopefully Jeff will surface again this summer in one of these exhibition games. Until then its safe to say that the Hawks have a diamond in the rough, maybe this time away from basketball will help fans and coaching staff to arrive at that realization. Check out the short video below of Jeff Teague’s performance at the recent Goodman League versus Indy League game. “The NBA lockout is upon us and shows no signs of letting up anytime soon.
But in the end, it could be a good thing for the Atlanta Hawks.”
